THE BLUE PEARL
IN this depiction of a fantastical meditation, Having achieved an accomplished level of stillness, the mind’s eye witnesses vast spatial phenomenon that demonstrates our connectedness, even to the universe itself. The heightened spatial awareness may appear as expressions of color, in this case, ultramarine blue with cool pinks. As the illuminations, forms and relationships of these colors- their height, depth and breadth, expand and transform, the subject, in his transfixation, can often experience the abstractions of color and shape as representational objects- in this instance, the butterfly. as the butterflies morph, appear, and disintegrate again in the psychic interior perception, one is forced to question ‘do they exist at all?’ In the most auspicious of occasions the brilliantly burning blue. becomes ever increasingly focused until shining as a tiny fiery blue sphere, THE BLUE PEARL, and is said to be the embodiment of the purest form of the attained self, bearing witness in the meditation.
